Child safety standards against CSAE

Boredom maintains a zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual extortion, trafficking, or any attempt to exploit a minor on or through our platform.

Boredom is intended for adults 18 and older. Suspected underage accounts may be restricted, reviewed, and removed.

Zero tolerance

The following is strictly prohibited on Boredom and may result in immediate action without notice:

  • Child sexual abuse material or any sexualized depiction of minors.
  • Grooming, enticement, sextortion, or sexual solicitation involving a minor.
  • Using the platform to facilitate trafficking, abuse, or offline exploitation.
  • Requesting, sharing, storing, promoting, or linking to exploitative material.
  • Impersonating a minor, misrepresenting age, or attempting to contact minors for sexual purposes.

Age requirements

Boredom is designed for adult social discovery and real-world activities. Users must be 18 years of age or older to use the service.

If we identify signals that an account may belong to a person under 18, we may limit account access, request additional review, remove content, or permanently disable the account.

Reporting child safety concerns

Users can report profiles, activities, and messages inside the app, and users can block other profiles to prevent further contact.

If you believe content or behavior on Boredom involves a child safety risk, report it immediately through the in-app tools or by emailing contact@getboredom.app with the subject line Child Safety Report.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

Enforcement and moderation

Boredom may use a combination of user reports, manual review, account signals, and other safety checks to identify behavior that may violate these standards.

  1. We review relevant reports and preserve necessary records for investigation.
  2. We remove violating content and restrict or permanently ban offending accounts.
  3. We may disable access while a high-risk report is under review.
  4. We may retain relevant evidence where needed for safety, legal, or compliance reasons.

These child safety standards work alongside Boredom's broader rules on prohibited conduct, reporting, blocking, privacy, and safety.
